Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building scalable data platforms that handle large volumes of data. Your expertise in AWS and Python allows you to design and implement robust data solutions that meet the needs of various teams, including Product and Data Science.
You possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of data engineering principles, enabling you to optimize data workflows and ensure data quality. You are comfortable working in a collaborative environment and enjoy mentoring junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and best practices.
What you'll do
As a Staff Software Engineer on the Data Platform team, you will lead the development of a modern data platform that processes petabytes of data daily. You will collaborate closely with Product, Data Science, and Machine Learning teams to understand their data needs and deliver solutions that enhance their capabilities.
You will tackle complex scaling challenges, ensuring that the platform can handle millions of requests efficiently. Your role will involve designing data pipelines, optimizing data storage, and implementing best practices for data governance and security.
You will also be responsible for mentoring team members, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering team.
