You have 5+ years of experience as a data scientist, with a strong focus on web data analysis and customer insights. Your proficiency in Python and SQL allows you to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively, and you have a solid understanding of machine learning techniques that can be applied to real-world problems. You are passionate about using data to drive product strategy and improve customer experiences, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can partner with product, design, and engineering teams.

You possess excellent data visualization skills, enabling you to present complex findings in a clear and actionable manner. You are comfortable asking the right questions and exploring patterns in data to uncover insights that can influence product decisions. Your experience includes working with various data analysis tools and frameworks, and you are always eager to learn new technologies and methodologies to enhance your skill set.

Desirable

Experience with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks is a plus, as is familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Looker. You may also have experience in customer service or AI-driven products, which would be beneficial in understanding the context of your work at Intercom.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be a key member of the Research, Analytics & Data Science (RAD) team, focusing on web data to inform product development and strategy. You will collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering leads to identify areas for improvement on our websites, intercom.com and fin.ai. Your work will involve analyzing user behavior, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights that help shape product features and enhancements.

You will take ownership of data projects, from defining the problem and designing experiments to analyzing results and communicating findings to stakeholders. Your ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations will be crucial in driving evidence-based decision-making across the organization. You will also mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the overall growth of the data science team.
