You have a strong background in product engineering, with experience in both back-end and front-end development. You understand how to apply your technical knowledge to solve real customer problems effectively. Your expertise in JavaScript and frameworks like React enables you to build user-friendly interfaces while ensuring robust back-end functionality. You are familiar with machine learning concepts and can integrate AI solutions into customer service applications. You thrive in multidisciplinary teams, collaborating closely with designers, product managers, researchers, and data analysts to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
You have a proven track record of developing technical plans and contributing to the technical direction of projects. Your experience includes tackling scaling challenges and building platforms that enhance customer service capabilities. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are eager to push boundaries to deliver incredible value to customers. You are a proactive communicator, able to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment across teams.
Desirable
Experience with AI technologies and their application in customer service is a plus. Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools for project management will help you succeed in this role. You are open to learning new technologies and adapting to the evolving landscape of customer service solutions.
What you'll do
As a Product Engineer at Intercom, you will be part of a multidisciplinary product team focused on enhancing customer experiences through innovative solutions. You will develop both back-end and front-end systems, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. Your role will involve building features that improve the performance of our AI customer service agent, Fin, and enhancing the overall customer service suite. You will collaborate with designers to create intuitive user interfaces and work with product managers to define the roadmap for new features.

Your work will include implementing security measures, ensuring app availability, and optimizing deliverability.
