InterSystems is seeking a Mid-Level Legal Counsel to support inbound procurement activities and manage vendor agreements. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams and require a strong understanding of SaaS and software licensing.
Job Description
Who you are
You are a mid-level attorney with at least 3-6 years of relevant legal experience, particularly in procurement activities. You hold a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and are an active member of at least one U.S. state bar. Your strong understanding of SaaS, cloud services, and software licensing makes you an ideal fit for this role. You have a collaborative mindset and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams, including Cyber Security, Finance, and Technical Services.
You are detail-oriented and have a solid grasp of compliance requirements related to healthcare information technology and data protection. Your ability to negotiate and manage agreements with vendors is complemented by your strong communication skills, allowing you to effectively partner with various stakeholders. You thrive in environments where you can tackle a variety of legal issues and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of legal issues impacting InterSystems’ procurement activities. This includes drafting and negotiating non-disclosure agreements, software licenses, SaaS agreements, and consulting agreements with independent contractors. You will also manage hardware procurement agreements and ensure vendor compliance with InterSystems’ policies. Collaborating with the Legal team in the region, you will ensure compliance with internal processes regarding pricing, approvals, and other requirements.
You will assist in ensuring compliance with external requirements, statutes, and standards related to healthcare information technology and data protection. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work on special projects as requested, providing you with broad exposure across the Legal team. Your role will be pivotal in supporting customer contracting and addressing other legal needs that arise from time to time.
