Job Description
Who you are
You are an aspiring software engineer with a strong foundation in coding and a passion for AI technologies. You have meaningful experience coding with AI tools and are fully fluent in the modern AI stack. With at least 3 years of experience coding in TypeScript, you are comfortable working on complex projects and are eager to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.
You thrive in a hybrid work setting, being flexible to work on-site in downtown Manhattan some days a week. You are proactive and take ownership of your work, understanding the importance of delivering high-quality code quickly. Your experience with automation bots or phone automation is a plus, and you have a solid understanding of Cloudflare's development stack and cloud services like AWS or GCP.
What you'll do
As a Software Engineering Intern at Italic, you will be responsible for building and maintaining our flagship consumer products. You will own the shared backend and work on green-field features, pushing code to production every week. Your main focus will be on creating and maintaining scalable AI services, including chat and memory systems, image and video generation pipelines, and recommender systems.
You will integrate large language models and computer vision models into our mobile, Unity, and web clients, ensuring that our infrastructure for payments, rewards, order routing, and analytics is reliable. You will promote engineering best practices in observability, security, and CI/CD, contributing to a culture of excellence within the team.
