You have a strong background in data science and machine learning, with experience in developing models and algorithms that address complex cybersecurity challenges. Your curiosity drives you to explore innovative solutions, and you thrive in a startup environment where you can take initiative and shape the direction of the team. You are comfortable working with various data technologies and have a solid understanding of cloud environments, particularly AWS.
You possess excellent analytical skills and can translate complex data into actionable insights. Your experience with tools like Jupyter and SageMaker allows you to effectively analyze data and build predictive models. You are also familiar with data processing frameworks such as Kafka and databases like ClickHouse, which are essential for handling large volumes of data in real-time.
You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with product managers and engineers to develop effective solutions. Your ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively makes you a valuable asset in cross-functional teams. You are eager to learn from experienced security analysts and researchers, and you are excited about the opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven company.
Desirable
Experience with adversarial machine learning or cybersecurity is a plus, as it will enhance your ability to contribute to the team's goals. Familiarity with production applications written in Node.js will also be beneficial as you collaborate with engineering teams.
What you'll do
As the founding member of the Data Science team at Kasada, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing data-driven solutions to combat automated bot attacks. You will work closely with product managers and security analysts to understand the challenges posed by bad bots and design models that can detect and mitigate these threats effectively. Your work will involve analyzing large datasets, building predictive models, and continuously iterating on your solutions based on feedback and performance metrics.
You will have the opportunity to shape the direction of the Data Science team, selecting the tools and technologies that best fit the evolving needs of the organization. Your expertise in AWS will be instrumental in deploying models and managing data pipelines. You will also collaborate with engineers to integrate your models into existing systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively in real-time environments.
In this role, you will be encouraged to experiment with new approaches and technologies, fostering a culture of innovation within the team. You will participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress, share insights, and brainstorm new ideas.
