Who you are
You have a strong background in data science with a focus on clinical data β your experience includes working with large datasets and applying machine learning techniques to derive actionable insights. You are proficient in Python and SQL, enabling you to manipulate and analyze data effectively. Your understanding of statistical analysis allows you to validate datasets and ensure their reliability for publication in scientific journals.
You are solution-oriented and passionate about improving patient care through data β you thrive in collaborative environments, working alongside engineers, biostatisticians, and internal stakeholders to enhance data offerings. Your expertise in data visualization helps communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
What you'll do
As a Senior Data Scientist at Tempus, you will become an expert in longitudinal clinical data and patient tokenization β your role involves linking third-party datasets to Tempusβs real-world data ecosystem. You will design and execute concordance analyses and reliability studies to validate the datasets, ensuring they meet publication standards. You will also develop new methodologies for harmonizing and integrating various clinical data streams, such as electronic health records and claims data, to enhance the comprehensiveness and accuracy of clinical datasets.
You will partner with internal teams, including Outcomes Research and Applied AI, to identify and implement enhancements that improve the quality of data available to researchers and external teams in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors. Your contributions will directly impact oncology patient care, leveraging one of the largest molecular and clinical databases of cancer patients in the world.
