Job Description
Who you are
You have 2+ years of product management experience, ideally at a startup, where you've honed your skills in prioritizing product roadmaps and driving user-centric improvements. You care intensely about user experience and have a knack for understanding customer needs through direct conversations and feedback. Your ability to read and understand API documentation, such as the QuickBooks API, allows you to communicate effectively with engineering teams. While not mandatory, some accounting experience or familiarity with bookkeeping processes will give you an edge in understanding the product's context and user base.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams including design, sales, and customer support to ensure that product features align with company goals. Your strong communication skills enable you to articulate product vision and requirements clearly, fostering a shared understanding among stakeholders. You are data-driven, using metrics to inform decisions and measure the success of product initiatives. You are adaptable and open to feedback, continuously seeking ways to improve both the product and your own skills.
What you'll do
As a Product Manager at Keeper, you will take ownership of the product roadmap, working directly with the CEO, CTO, and engineering team to design new features and enhance existing ones. Your role will involve extensive customer engagement, where you'll gather insights to prioritize features that resonate with users and drive business outcomes. You will write detailed tickets for the engineering team, ensuring clarity and addressing any questions they may have during the development process. Your focus will be on leveraging the product to achieve key business metrics, such as monthly recurring revenue and new product adoption rates.
You will also collaborate with the sales and customer success teams to identify opportunities for product improvements that can help achieve company objectives. By conducting user research and analyzing feedback, you will ensure that the product evolves in line with user needs and market trends. Your ability to balance short-term wins with long-term strategic goals will be crucial in guiding the product's direction and ensuring its success in the competitive landscape of bookkeeping solutions.
