Who you are
You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, focusing on building scalable and reliable systems. Your expertise in developing backend services and automation frameworks has equipped you with the skills to improve the velocity of engineering teams. You understand the importance of clean, maintainable, and testable code, and you thrive in environments where you can contribute to the overall architecture and design of systems.
Your primary programming language is Python, and you have experience with Go, which allows you to adapt to various project requirements. You are comfortable working with internal developer tools and have a keen interest in enhancing the developer experience through automation and tooling. You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
What you'll do
As a Senior Backend Engineer at Kiddom, you will play a crucial role in developing backend services that support the core functionalities of our educational platform. You will work closely with the Tooling team to build and maintain systems that empower all engineering teams, ensuring that they can deliver reliable and efficient software. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing automation frameworks that streamline development processes and improve deployment reliability.
You will also be involved in shaping how Kiddom engineers build, deploy, and observe systems at scale. This includes writing clean and maintainable code, conducting code reviews, and mentoring junior engineers to foster a culture of continuous improvement. You will collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions that meet the needs of our users.
