Koalafi is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the accounting operations of a fast-growing lease-to-own financing company. You'll ensure accurate financial reporting and manage complex accounting processes. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise under U.S. GAAP.

You have a strong background in accounting with a focus on U.S. GAAP, and you thrive in environments where accuracy and timeliness are paramount. Your experience includes managing complex accounting processes and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. You are detail-oriented and can handle multiple priorities simultaneously, making you an asset in a fast-paced setting. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to partner effectively with cross-functional teams and support audits and compliance requirements. You are proactive in identifying areas for improvement and are committed to delivering high-quality work. You understand the importance of financial reporting and are dedicated to maintaining the integrity of financial records.
Desirable
Experience with lease-to-own financing or similar financial services is a plus. Familiarity with financial software and tools that enhance reporting and compliance processes would be beneficial. A CPA certification or equivalent is highly desirable, as it demonstrates your commitment to the profession and your expertise in accounting standards.
What you'll do
As a Senior Accountant at Koalafi, you will lead assigned areas of the month-end close process, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial records. You will prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules, applying U.S. GAAP in all accounting treatments. Your role will involve assisting in the preparation of internal and external financial reports, ensuring that all documentation is compliant with regulatory standards. You will collaborate with various internal teams to provide insights and support for financial decision-making. Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting audits and compliance requirements, ensuring that all financial practices align with industry standards. You will also be responsible for identifying opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function, contributing to the overall efficiency of the team.
