Kong is hiring a Senior Program Manager for their Cybersecurity team to lead various cybersecurity initiatives. You'll work with risk management, compliance automation, and security operations. This role requires experience in Information Security and relevant certifications.

Who you are
You have a strong background in Information Security or Cybersecurity, with a proven track record of managing technical programs. Your experience includes working with security frameworks and risk management, allowing you to navigate complex cybersecurity challenges effectively. You possess certifications such as CISSP or CISM, which demonstrate your commitment to the field and your expertise in security practices.
You are skilled in collaborating with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to define and prioritize technical solutions. Your ability to present complex technical challenges and resolutions to leadership showcases your strong communication skills. You stay current on regulatory and industry standards, such as ISO 27001 and NIST 800-53, which informs your risk and control strategies.
You demonstrate ownership and autonomy in managing programs, ensuring that you deliver results that align with organizational goals. Your analytical mindset allows you to establish, develop, and track KPIs effectively, ensuring that cybersecurity initiatives are on track and meet compliance requirements.
Desirable
Experience with compliance automation and security operations is a plus, as it enhances your ability to contribute to the Cybersecurity team. Familiarity with various cybersecurity tools and technologies will further strengthen your candidacy, as you will be expected to leverage these in your role.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead and manage Kong's Cybersecurity Programs across the Office of the Chief Information Security Officer (OCISO). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and deliver technical solutions that address cybersecurity challenges. Your responsibilities will include building strategies for issue and risk mitigation, contingency planning, and compliance adherence.
You will present complex technical challenges and resolutions to leadership and stakeholders, ensuring that everyone is informed and aligned on cybersecurity initiatives. Your role will require you to stay current on regulatory and industry standards, which will inform your risk and control strategies.
You will establish and track KPIs to measure the success of cybersecurity programs, ensuring that they meet organizational objectives. Your ability to demonstrate ownership and autonomy in managing programs will be crucial to your success in this position.
