You have a strong background in engineering, particularly in developing and maintaining production tracking and asset management tools. Your experience with Python and frameworks like PyQt/PySide allows you to write scalable and performant code that aligns with modern development principles. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with artists, production staff, and developers to gather requirements and deliver user-friendly solutions. Your problem-solving skills and clear communication make you an asset to any team, and you are comfortable managing multiple priorities while fostering a positive team culture. You approach challenges with curiosity and initiative, always looking for ways to improve workflows and support your colleagues.

What you'll do

As a Studio Pipeline Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining the pipeline and workflow tools that empower artists and production teams throughout the filmmaking process. You will provide hands-on support and troubleshoot a wide range of editorial and production tracking challenges across every stage of production. Collaborating with various departments, including fabrication, stage, VFX, and editorial, you will ensure that the tools you develop meet the needs of the creative teams. Your role will involve writing code that is not only functional but also aligns with the artistic vision of LAIKA, blending technology with creativity to enhance the filmmaking process. You will report to the Studio Pipeline Sr Manager and work closely with other engineers and development teams to ensure seamless integration of tools and workflows.
