Overview
Last Energy is hiring a Senior CFD Engineer to drive thermal-fluid analysis for productized nuclear plants. You'll own the CFD workflow and make recommendations that inform hardware design. This role requires expertise in heat exchangers and thermal-fluid analysis.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) with a focus on thermal-fluid analysis — your experience includes working on heat exchangers and understanding the intricacies of fluid flow and heat transfer. You are adept at turning complex simulations into actionable insights that inform hardware design decisions.
You possess excellent problem-solving skills and can effectively communicate technical findings to both engineering and non-engineering stakeholders — your ability to translate simulation results into clear trade studies is a key asset. You thrive in a collaborative environment where you can contribute to the continuous improvement of modeling techniques and workflows.
What you'll do
As a Senior CFD Engineer at Last Energy, you will lead the CFD workflow from initial sizing through detailed geometry decisions — your expertise will guide the thermal-fluid analysis that is critical to the design of our productized nuclear plants. You will be responsible for conducting simulations that assess parameters such as pressure drop, effectiveness, flow distribution, and identifying potential hot spots.
You will work closely with hardware design teams to ensure that your recommendations are integrated into the product development process — your insights will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our nuclear plant designs. Continuous improvement of modeling speed and consistency will be a key focus of your role, as you seek to enhance the CFD processes within the organization.
What we offer
At Last Energy, we are committed to building a sustainable future through innovative nuclear technology — you will be part of a mission-driven team that values collaboration and technical excellence. We offer competitive compensation and opportunities for professional growth in a rapidly evolving industry. Join us in transforming the energy landscape with cutting-edge solutions.
