You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building libraries and packages that are utilized by other developers. Your polyglot background allows you to quickly switch between programming languages, making you adaptable to various tech stacks. You understand the importance of performance, concurrency, and resiliency in software development, and you are committed to following best practices in your work. You have a strong emphasis on collaboration and are eager to contribute to open-source repositories, advocating for improvements and best practices within your team.
Desirable
Experience with feature flagging systems or SDK development is a plus. Familiarity with cloud services and performance optimization techniques will also be beneficial in this role. You are proactive in keeping up with the latest development practices and enjoy being part of a team that shapes technology and product decisions.
What you'll do
As a Senior SDK Software Engineer at LaunchDarkly, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining SDKs across various platforms. You will implement new features and improvements to meet customer performance and resiliency requirements, ensuring that our SDKs remain robust and efficient. You will collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to drive the implementation and release of major features, actively participating in discussions that shape the direction of our technology.
You will also maintain our open-source repositories, contributing to the community and ensuring that our SDKs are well-documented and user-friendly. Identifying areas for improvement will be part of your role, as you advocate for best practices and help shape both technology and product decisions.
