Who you are

You have a strong background in program management, ideally within a startup or high-growth environment — you thrive in unpaved roads and are comfortable navigating ambiguity while driving projects forward. Your experience has equipped you with the ability to connect diverse teams and foster collaboration, ensuring that everyone is aligned towards common goals.

You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively to various stakeholders — whether it's engineers, product managers, or operations teams, you know how to bridge gaps and facilitate discussions that lead to actionable outcomes. Your integrity and creativity shine through in your work, as you seek innovative solutions to challenges that arise during the development process.

You are detail-oriented and organized, with a knack for architecting systems that enhance efficiency and scalability — you understand the importance of tracking progress and ensuring that projects stay on schedule and within budget. Your ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously is a testament to your strong time management skills.

What you'll do

As a Program Manager at Lightship, you will be the connective tissue across our engineering, product, and operations teams — your role is pivotal in driving the development process from concept to production. You will architect systems that allow us to scale effectively, ensuring that our innovative battery-powered trailer is delivered on time and meets the highest quality standards.

You will lead cross-functional meetings to track project progress, address any roadblocks, and facilitate collaboration among team members — your proactive approach will help identify potential issues before they escalate, allowing for timely resolutions. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining project documentation, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned throughout the development lifecycle.

Your role will involve working closely with engineering teams to understand technical requirements and constraints, translating these into actionable project plans — you will ensure that product specifications are met while balancing timelines and resources. Additionally, you will collaborate with product managers to align on product vision and strategy, ensuring that the development process supports our overall goals.
