Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in data science, with a strong foundation in statistical analysis and machine learning techniques. Your expertise in SQL allows you to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively, while your proficiency in Python and R enables you to build robust models and algorithms. You are comfortable working with cross-functional teams, translating complex data insights into actionable business strategies. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy partnering with product managers, engineers, and designers to drive data-informed decisions. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to present findings clearly to stakeholders at all levels. You are passionate about using data to solve real-world problems and improve user experiences.
Desirable
Experience with A/B testing and experimental design is a plus, as is familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Looker. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP can enhance your contributions to the team. A background in the transportation or ridesharing industry would be beneficial but is not required.
What you'll do
As a Senior Data Scientist on the Rider team, you will leverage data and analytical frameworks to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency within Lyft's services. You will partner closely with product managers, engineers, marketers, and designers to translate data insights into strategic decisions and actions. Your responsibilities will include designing and analyzing online experiments to measure the impact of new features and initiatives. You will communicate results effectively to stakeholders, guiding launch decisions based on your findings. You will also be involved in developing analytical models that inform business strategies and enhance the rider app experience. What we offer
Lyft offers a competitive salary range for this position in the Toronto area, between $136,000 and $170,000, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to salary, you will have the opportunity to participate in equity offerings and bonuses.
