You have 5+ years of experience in engineering management, with a proven track record of leading teams that build complex systems. Your background includes developing user-facing applications and you understand the intricacies of mapping technologies. You are passionate about mentoring and guiding engineers in their professional and technical development, fostering an environment where they can thrive. You excel in providing organizational transparency and constructive feedback, ensuring your team is aligned and motivated to achieve their goals.
You possess a deep understanding of machine learning and deep learning principles, and you are familiar with real-time data processing techniques. Your experience includes working with large datasets and developing algorithms that enhance user experiences. You are comfortable navigating challenges and are adept at removing obstacles that hinder your team's productivity. You believe in continuous improvement and are always looking for ways to streamline processes and enhance team performance.
Desirable
Experience in the transportation or mapping industry is a plus, as is familiarity with routing and ETA models. You have a strong technical background that allows you to engage with your team on a deep level, discussing architecture and design decisions. You are a proactive communicator, able to articulate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What we offer
Lyft offers a competitive salary range for this position in the San Francisco area, between $208,000 and $260,000, not including potential equity offerings, bonuses, or benefits.
