Lyft is seeking a VP of Safety & Customer Care to lead the transformation of customer interactions and safety experiences. You'll oversee a large team and leverage technology to enhance customer trust and safety. This role requires a strong background in operations and leadership.

Who you are

You are a customer-obsessed executive leader with a proven track record in managing large teams and transforming customer care operations. With extensive experience in Trust & Safety, you understand the nuances of creating a safe and inclusive environment for both riders and drivers. Your operational excellence is complemented by a deep understanding of technology transformation, allowing you to effectively integrate AI into customer care processes. You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to serve as Lyft's internal and external voice on safety and customer trust. You thrive in complex, cross-functional environments and are adept at driving execution across diverse teams.

Desirable

Experience in a technology-driven environment is a plus, as is familiarity with customer service platforms and analytics tools. A background in product management or data science would enhance your ability to lead the Safety & Customer Care organization effectively.

What you'll do

As the VP of Safety & Customer Care, you will be responsible for executing a strategic transformation that leverages AI to enhance customer interactions. You will lead a team of over 350 individuals across various functions, including Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Operations. Your focus will be on ensuring that every customer interaction is a moment of genuine connection, making riders and drivers feel safe and comfortable. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions that improve safety and customer care experiences at scale. Additionally, you will drive initiatives that foster trust within the Lyft community, ensuring that the organization remains a trusted and inclusive platform for all users.
