Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and ideally hold a CPA license. With over 3 years of experience in accounting, particularly in revenue accounting at a high-growth technology company, you possess a strong understanding of financial principles and practices. You are detail-oriented and have a proven track record of managing complex accounting tasks in a fast-paced environment. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including financial analytics and technical accounting, sets you apart. You are eager to learn quickly and adapt to new processes while adding value to existing systems.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own key components of the monthly and quarterly close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis. You will partner with the financial analytics data team and other internal business partners to determine accounting requirements for new platform-related projects. Additionally, you will document current revenue accounting processes and lead the implementation of new products and processes, such as the quote-to-cash cycle. As the business grows, you will help scale and improve revenue systems, processes, and controls to reduce the duration of the accounting close. You will also assist in managing external audits, providing preparation and ongoing support to ensure compliance and accuracy.
What we offer
Lyft offers a competitive salary range for this position in the San Francisco area, between $88,000 and $110,000, not including potential equity offerings, bonuses, or benefits. You will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where your contributions are valued, and you can grow your career in accounting. The company fosters a culture of belonging and support, ensuring that all team members have the opportunity to thrive in their roles.
