Who you are
You have a strong background in engineering with a focus on connectivity systems, particularly in the context of data centers. Your experience includes designing structured cabling and infrastructure for various projects, including new builds and retrofits. You are adept at overseeing outsourced design work, ensuring that all designs meet or exceed project requirements. You understand the importance of driving best practices and establishing tools, processes, and standards that align with large-scale data center deployments. You are a collaborative team player, capable of working effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all structured cabling design requirements are met during execution.
Desirable
Experience with large-scale data center projects is a plus, as is familiarity with the full design lifecycle. You are comfortable integrating lessons learned from field deployments into future designs, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement. Your ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams will help you succeed in this role.
What you'll do
As a Connectivity Systems Engineer at Meta, you will be responsible for the design of inside and outside plant structured cabling and infrastructure for our data center installations. This includes engaging in the full design lifecycle, from initial concept through to execution and oversight. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure that all designs are delivered on time and meet the necessary specifications. Your role will involve driving best practices in design and implementation, ensuring that all projects adhere to established standards. You will also be tasked with evaluating and integrating feedback from field deployments into future designs, enhancing the overall quality and efficiency of our infrastructure projects.
You will work closely with project managers and other engineers to coordinate efforts and ensure that all aspects of the design are aligned with project goals. Your ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of quality will be crucial. You will also be expected to stay updated on industry trends and advancements in connectivity systems, applying this knowledge to improve our design processes.
