Who you are

You have a strong background in systems software and wireless technologies, with experience in designing and optimizing Bluetooth and Wi-Fi features. Your expertise includes working with kernel drivers and system services, and you understand the intricacies of low-level protocols and real-world RF constraints. You are skilled in debugging and optimizing performance, ensuring seamless connectivity across devices.

You are familiar with tools and frameworks such as BlueZ, wpa_supplicant, and NetworkManager, and you have a solid understanding of wireless standards and protocols. Your problem-solving skills enable you to tackle complex challenges in connectivity, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can work closely with hardware integration teams.

What you'll do

As a Connectivity Software Engineer at OpenAI, you will design, implement, and optimize wireless connectivity features across our product ecosystem. You will focus on building robust pairing and provisioning flows, ensuring that our devices connect seamlessly and securely. Your role will involve debugging low-level protocols and driving performance improvements under real-world conditions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support certification and field interoperability, contributing to the development of fleet-scale connectivity infrastructure.
