Who you are
You have a strong background in construction management, particularly in the context of data centers. Your experience includes overseeing projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all aspects of construction meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. You understand the importance of uptime and capacity availability in data center operations, and you are committed to capital conservation throughout the construction process.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and project management. You are adept at navigating complex project requirements and timelines, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the construction process.
Your technical knowledge extends to understanding the configurations and operational requirements of data centers, from electrical substations to cooling systems. You are familiar with industry best practices and are always looking for ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs without compromising quality.
What you'll do
As a Construction Manager at Meta, you will lead the construction efforts for our data centers, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. You will work closely with the Data Center Engineering & Construction Team to develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, while also managing on-site construction activities.
You will be responsible for coordinating with various contractors and subcontractors, ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards. Your role will involve regular site inspections to monitor progress and compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
In addition to overseeing construction activities, you will also be involved in the planning and design phases of new data center projects. You will collaborate with engineers to determine the best configurations for our infrastructure, ensuring that we maximize efficiency and capacity.
You will play a key role in maintaining communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project status and addressing any issues that may arise during construction. Your ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously will be crucial to your success in this role.
