Electrical Engineer

Who you are

You are an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in designing and prototyping electrical systems. You thrive in collaborative environments and can take broad definitions and implement them into detailed electrical schematics and layouts. Your experience includes working on high-volume consumer products, and you are familiar with the processes involved in bringing technology from prototype to market.

You have a solid understanding of mixed domain high-speed digital circuit boards and are an experienced troubleshooter at both the board and system level. Your familiarity with consumer product development processes allows you to navigate the complexities of creating innovative solutions that meet user needs. You are eager to work with emerging technologies in the Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality space, contributing to projects that aim to connect people in new ways.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be part of the AR, VR, or New Technology Team at Meta Reality Labs, where you will design, build, and test prototype electrical systems. You will engage in fast iterative prototyping, collaborating with mechanical, optical, firmware, software, and research experts to explore new concepts. Your responsibilities will include developing electrical schematics, creating layouts, and transitioning designs into high-volume consumer products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, adapting to the dynamic nature of the projects and contributing your expertise to inform the Reality Lab’s roadmap.

You will have the opportunity to learn from industry leaders and apply your skills to help Meta achieve its mission of connecting people anytime, anywhere. Your role will involve troubleshooting and refining prototypes, ensuring that they meet the high standards required for consumer products.
