Who you are
You have experience in electrical engineering and are passionate about developing cutting-edge technology. Whether you're just starting your career or have years of experience, you understand the complexities of designing embedded systems and are eager to contribute to innovative projects. Your background includes working with high-volume consumer electronic products, and you have a solid grasp of mobile SoC design and high-speed digital design. You are also familiar with troubleshooting EMI/RF problems and have experience with scripting or programming in Python.
Desirable
Experience with connected products such as Wi-Fi and cellular technologies is a plus. You are comfortable working in a collaborative environment and are excited about the opportunity to integrate sophisticated cameras and imaging electronics into drone systems. Your attention to detail ensures that manufacturing considerations are incorporated into your designs, leading to high-quality mass production.
What you'll do
As an Electrical Engineer at Skydio, you will define the architecture and select components for complex embedded electro-mechanical and optical systems. You will work closely with your team to design the main logic, interconnect, power, RF, and sensing systems around a mobile SoC. Your role will involve integrating advanced cameras and imaging electronics, ensuring that all components work seamlessly together. You will also create and execute validation plans for system electronics, addressing reliability, yield, and performance issues throughout the development process. Your contributions will directly impact the performance and quality of Skydio's drone technology, empowering a diverse range of users from utility inspectors to first responders.
