Who you are
You have a strong background in battery technology and engineering, with experience in designing and validating battery cells for consumer electronics. You are familiar with the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept through to mass production, and understand the challenges involved in bringing new battery technologies to market.
You possess a keen interest in researching and qualifying new materials and form factors for batteries, and you are excited about the potential of wearable devices. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and design, allows you to contribute effectively to the development of innovative battery solutions.
What you'll do
As a Battery Cell Engineer at Metaβs Reality Labs, you will take ownership of the design and implementation of battery cells for wearable devices. You will work closely with product teams to ensure that the battery solutions meet the performance and safety requirements of the products. Your role will involve researching new battery technologies and materials, as well as validating their performance through rigorous testing.
You will also be responsible for collaborating with manufacturing teams to ensure that the battery cells can be produced at scale, addressing any challenges that arise during the transition from prototype to mass production.
