Who you are
You have a strong mechanical manufacturing background and experience in developing and implementing production processes in high-volume environments. You excel in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product design and engineering, to ensure quality and efficiency in manufacturing processes. Your ability to analyze and provide feedback on battery material designs and specifications is key to your success in this role. You are skilled in planning and leading Design of Experiments (DOE) activities to drive design and process development decisions. You have experience assessing fabrication and assembly strategies for battery materials and can effectively communicate technical recommendations based on your analyses.
You are proactive in reviewing progress at supplier locations and can escalate critical process-related issues as needed. Your collaboration with suppliers includes delivering process flow mapping, FMEA, and validation activities, ensuring that all aspects of manufacturing are aligned with quality standards. You are committed to continuous improvement and are always looking for ways to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of key production processes for Apple batteries. You will work closely with the Advanced Battery Manufacturing Engineering team to ensure that all processes meet the required quality standards. Your responsibilities will include reviewing battery material designs and providing Design for Manufacturing feedback to the Material Development Engineering team. You will plan and lead DOE activities to produce timely analyses that inform design and process development decisions. Additionally, you will assess the suitability of fabrication and assembly strategies for battery materials and plan validation exercises to demonstrate manufacturing capability.
You will collaborate with suppliers to establish manufacturing processes and quality control measures, ensuring that all activities are aligned with Apple's high standards. Your role will also involve reviewing progress at supplier locations and serving as a point of escalation for any critical process-related issues. You will be instrumental in delivering process flow mapping, FMEA, and implementation schedules prior to engineering builds, ensuring that all aspects of the manufacturing process are well-coordinated and executed.
