You are comfortable interfacing with various engineering teams and have a collaborative mindset that fosters teamwork and innovation.
You possess deep knowledge of detection engineering and automation, having worked on projects that involve building detection and response platforms. Your expertise allows you to assess potential attacks and identify critical assets effectively. You are familiar with industry-standard security practices and tools, and you stay updated on the latest trends and threats in the cybersecurity landscape. You are passionate about mentoring and developing your team, ensuring they have the skills and resources needed to succeed.
Desirable
Experience with large-scale data sets and hyper-scale data pipelines is a plus. Familiarity with cloud security and corporate infrastructure security will enhance your ability to contribute to Meta's security initiatives. You are also open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can improve security processes.
What you'll do
As the Security Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of security engineers dedicated to enhancing Meta's security posture. You will oversee the development of threat models and the identification of tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) that could be used against Meta's systems. Your role will involve collaborating with software engineers and offensive security engineers to ensure a comprehensive approach to security.
You will support your team in generating detection ideas and implementing automation solutions that leverage both industry-standard and custom platforms. This includes working with large data sets to identify anomalies and potential threats. You will also be responsible for assessing risks and evaluating the effectiveness of existing security measures, making recommendations for improvements where necessary.
Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a culture of security awareness and collaboration across engineering teams. You will conduct regular reviews of security practices and ensure that your team is equipped with the latest tools and knowledge to address emerging threats. Additionally, you will play a key role in strategic planning, aligning security initiatives with Meta's overall business objectives.
