Job Description

Who you are

You are an experienced lawyer with a strong background in privacy law and compliance — you have a deep understanding of privacy regulations and their implications for technology companies. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to navigate complex legal landscapes. Your ability to communicate effectively with both legal and non-legal stakeholders sets you apart, as you can translate intricate legal concepts into actionable insights for product and engineering teams.

You have a proven track record of providing strategic legal advice on privacy initiatives — your experience includes supporting product risk review processes and managing privacy compliance workstreams. You are detail-oriented and proactive, ensuring that privacy considerations are integrated into the product development lifecycle. Your analytical skills enable you to assess risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead efforts to support central privacy initiatives across Meta — you will provide legal guidance to the Central Risk Organization and collaborate with product and privacy counsels to ensure robust compliance. You will engage with product and engineering teams to address privacy regulatory responses and facilitate the product risk review process. Your responsibilities will include advising on privacy-related issues, developing compliance frameworks, and conducting training sessions for internal stakeholders.

You will also play a key role in shaping Meta's privacy strategy — your insights will help inform policy decisions and drive initiatives that enhance user trust and compliance. You will work closely with various teams to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies, ensuring that privacy considerations are prioritized in all aspects of product development.

What we offer

At Meta, you will be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration and innovation — we offer a competitive salary and benefits package, along with opportunities for professional growth and development. You will have the chance to work on impactful projects that shape the future of privacy in technology. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
