Microsoft is hiring a Senior Design Verification Engineer to join their Silicon, Cloud Hardware, and Infrastructure Engineering team. You'll work on pre-silicon verification and post-silicon validation for custom silicon components. This role requires expertise in Verification IP and UVM.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in design verification, with experience in both pre-silicon and post-silicon validation processes. Your expertise in writing constrained random stimulus, scoreboards, and checkers allows you to ensure design correctness effectively. You are familiar with developing Verification IP components and have a solid understanding of Universal Verification Methodology (UVM) to interface between test code and verification simulation environments.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with architecture, design, firmware/software, product engineering, and program management teams. Your ability to define and implement functional coverage drives coverage closure, ensuring comprehensive testing of silicon components. You are detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality results that align with Microsoftβs mission of powering the Intelligent Cloud.
What you'll do
As a Senior Design Verification Engineer, you will be an integral member of a team focused on developing custom silicon components. Your responsibilities will include writing and implementing verification plans, developing testbenches, and creating scripts for verification. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that pre-and-post-silicon testing is thorough and effective. Your role will also involve driving coverage closure and ensuring that all design specifications are met.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining Verification IP components, which are crucial for verifying home-grown designs. Your expertise in UVM will be essential as you work to create a seamless interface between test code and verification environments. You will also engage in continuous improvement efforts, identifying areas for enhancement in the verification process and implementing best practices.
What we offer
At Microsoft, you will be part of a dynamic team that is at the forefront of cloud infrastructure technology. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, along with opportunities for professional growth and development.
