You have a strong background in data engineering, particularly in building ETL pipelines for large datasets — your experience includes transforming complex data into usable formats for various applications. You are skilled in data modeling and schema design, ensuring that data is structured efficiently for optimal performance. You have a solid understanding of graph databases and are familiar with creating API surfaces that facilitate data access for machine learning engineers and application teams. Your technical expertise is complemented by your ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, bridging the gap between data ingestion and high-performance engineering systems. You are detail-oriented and take ownership of the reliability and performance of the systems you build, ensuring they meet the needs of the organization.

Desirable

Experience with knowledge graphs or similar technologies is a plus, as is familiarity with biological data. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are eager to contribute to innovative projects that have a significant impact on the healthcare industry.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure that powers Mithrl’s biological knowledge layer. You will partner closely with the Data Scientist, Knowledge Graphs to take curated knowledge sources and transform them into scalable, reliable systems. Your work will involve designing and implementing ETL pipelines that handle large biological datasets, ensuring that data flows smoothly into the knowledge graph. You will also design schemas and storage models specifically for graph-structured data, optimizing them for performance and scalability. Additionally, you will create API surfaces that allow various teams to query and utilize the knowledge graph efficiently, facilitating the integration of data into the AI Co-Scientist platform. You will own the reliability, performance, and versioning of the knowledge graph infrastructure across releases, ensuring that it meets the evolving needs of the organization.
