Who you are
You have a strong background in product design with a proven track record of creating and scaling design systems across multiple products. You understand that design is not just about aesthetics but is central to the business strategy, and you have experience in environments where design has been a key differentiator. You are a maker at heart, always curious and eager to sketch, prototype, and solve problems yourself. Your leadership style is collaborative, and you can rally others around a shared vision for exceptional product design. You have a strong voice and point of view, knowing when 'good' isn't good enough, and you are passionate about pushing the boundaries of what is possible in design.
Desirable
Experience in the financial sector or with financial products is a plus, as is familiarity with user-centered design principles and methodologies. A portfolio showcasing your design work and the impact it has had on user experiences and business outcomes will set you apart.
What you'll do
In this role, you will shape the design vision for all of Mollie's products, including the Dashboard, App, Onboarding, and Checkout. You will elevate the design system to ensure it is scalable across every product while maintaining a distinctively Mollie identity. Building and leading a world-class design team will be a key responsibility, as you set a new standard for financial product design in Europe. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that design is integrated into every aspect of product development. Your hands-on approach will allow you to contribute directly to the design process when necessary, ensuring that the final products not only meet but exceed user expectations.
