What you'll do

As the Chief Accounting Officer at MongoDB, you will oversee all accounting functions, ensuring that financial reporting is conducted in accordance with U.S. GAAP. You will lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial results. Your role will involve managing external audits and serving as the primary point of contact for auditors, providing updates on compliance and governance controls to the Audit Committee.

You will implement scalable accounting processes and systems that support the company's growth trajectory. Collaborating closely with FP&A and Revenue Operations, you will ensure accurate revenue accounting and recognition, particularly in relation to SaaS offerings. Your leadership will guide the accounting team across various functions, including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and tax compliance.

In addition to managing day-to-day accounting operations, you will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of the finance function. You will partner with the CFO and executive leadership team to provide insights and recommendations that drive business decisions. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations, ensuring that MongoDB's financial practices are robust and effective.

MongoDB offers a competitive salary range for this role, with a base salary between $185,000 and $363,000 USD.
