You are a commercially sharp operator with a deep curiosity about buyer behavior — you thrive on understanding the underlying reasons why buyers choose one solution over another and are comfortable operating closely with real deals. Your excellent judgment allows you to synthesize qualitative buyer feedback, sales context, and competitive dynamics into clear insights that can drive strategic decisions. You are credible with Sales, Product Marketing, and leadership, capable of surfacing uncomfortable truths without creating friction, and motivated to improve win rates and deal quality.

You have experience conducting structured win/loss interviews with buyers, prospects, and salespeople — capturing the deal story beyond the CRM checkboxes is second nature to you. Your skills in qualitative analysis and thematic coding enable you to systematically code interviews to extract consistent themes, separating genuine customer signals from internal interpretation. You are adept at identifying competitor claims, objections, and buying criteria directly from customers, which helps populate a competitive claims observatory and objection playbooks.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the Win/Loss & Customer Insights pod, owning the Voice of the Customer for the intelligence function. You will conduct structured interviews to gather insights from buyers and salespeople, ensuring that the information collected is actionable and relevant. Your qualitative analysis will help the team produce quarterly customer insights reports and maintain the company’s Win/Loss repository, which is crucial for informing roadmap decisions and positioning.

You will collaborate closely with various teams, including Sales and Product Marketing, to ensure that insights are effectively communicated and utilized. Your ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights will be key to improving the overall quality of deals and win rates. You will also be expected to surface uncomfortable truths and provide honest feedback to stakeholders, fostering a culture of transparency and continuous improvement.
