Who you are
You have 2-3 years of commercial software development experience, particularly in the Java ecosystem, and are familiar with streaming systems. Your expertise includes working with relational data modeling and at least one SQL database such as Postgres or MySQL. You possess a good understanding of algorithms and data structures, and you are eager to learn and grow in your role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for collaborating with product management and engineering teams.
Desirable
Experience with client-side technologies like React and familiarity with streaming systems such as Apache Kafka or AWS SQS will be beneficial. A positive attitude and curiosity about technology will help you thrive in this role.
What you'll do
As a Software Engineer at MongoDB, you will contribute to the design and implementation of tools that facilitate data migration from relational databases to MongoDB. You will collaborate closely with product management and other engineers to ensure high-quality and well-tested backend code for the data migration engine and its surrounding services. Participating in code reviews and contributing to team discussions will be part of your daily responsibilities.
