MOO is hiring a Principal Architect to define and drive the end-to-end system architecture across various domains including eCommerce and manufacturing. This role requires collaboration with engineering and product teams to ensure architectural outcomes and migration strategies.
Job Description
Who you are
You have extensive experience in system architecture, particularly in eCommerce and product engineering. Your background includes working closely with engineering teams to define and implement architectural strategies that enable safe and efficient product delivery. You are skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Heads of Engineering and Product, to drive architectural outcomes that align with business goals. You understand the complexities of migrating systems and are adept at developing strategies that minimize disruption while maximizing efficiency.
You possess strong leadership qualities, enabling you to guide teams through architectural challenges and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders is a key strength, allowing you to bridge the gap between technology and business needs. You are passionate about creating scalable and robust architectures that support the growth and evolution of products.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for defining the overall system architecture for MOO, ensuring that it meets the needs of various stakeholders across the organization. You will partner with engineering and product teams to develop a comprehensive migration strategy that facilitates the transition to new systems while maintaining operational continuity. Your expertise will guide the architectural decisions that impact eCommerce, post-purchase processes, manufacturing, and data management.
You will lead architectural reviews and provide mentorship to engineering teams, helping them to understand best practices and the rationale behind architectural choices. Your role will involve evaluating new technologies and methodologies to enhance the existing architecture, ensuring that MOO remains at the forefront of innovation in the print and digital product space.
You will also be accountable for the architectural outcomes of projects, working closely with product teams to ensure that the architecture supports the desired user experience and business objectives.
