Your experience includes working with advanced AI-driven perception and control technologies, ensuring that autonomous systems meet and exceed safety and regulatory requirements. You are skilled in leading teams and fostering a culture of technical excellence and safety-first thinking. Your ability to represent safety engineering in executive-level discussions and technical reviews showcases your strong communication skills and leadership capabilities.
You have a background in safety assurance and regulatory compliance, which allows you to navigate the complexities of safety engineering in the autonomous vehicle industry. Your expertise in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including AI/ML, computer vision, robotics, hardware, and software, positions you as a key player in ensuring the safety of autonomous vehicles. You are passionate about mentoring and developing your team, guiding them to achieve their full potential while maintaining a focus on safety and technical excellence.

What you'll do
As the Senior Engineering Safety Manager, you will define and steer the company's safety engineering strategy, aligning it with industry standards and regulatory frameworks. You will lead and mentor the Safety Engineering team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and safety-first thinking. Your role will involve representing safety engineering in executive-level discussions, technical reviews, and customer/regulatory engagements, ensuring that safety considerations are integrated into all aspects of the autonomous driving systems.
You will collaborate closely with safety, engineering, legal, and regulatory teams to ensure that the technology is fit for purpose. Your responsibilities will include developing robust technical safety cases for autonomous driving systems, managing safety assurance processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will also oversee the integration of advanced AI-driven perception and control technologies into the safety engineering framework, ensuring that all systems meet the highest safety standards.
In addition, you will be responsible for managing a team of safety engineers, guiding them in their collaboration with cross-functional groups. Your leadership will be crucial in driving the team's success and ensuring that all safety engineering efforts align with the company's goals and objectives.
