Your collaborative nature enables you to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including AI/ML, computer vision, robotics, hardware, and software engineers.

Desirable

Experience in the autonomous vehicle industry is a plus, as is familiarity with industry standards and regulatory frameworks. You are comfortable representing safety engineering in executive-level discussions and technical reviews, showcasing your ability to communicate complex safety concepts to diverse audiences.

What you'll do

In this role, you will define the company’s safety engineering strategy, ensuring alignment with industry standards and internal goals. You will lead and mentor the Safety Engineering team, guiding them in their efforts to meet and exceed safety and regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will include developing robust technical safety cases for our autonomous driving systems, collaborating with various teams to integrate advanced AI-driven perception and control technologies. You will also participate in technical reviews and represent safety engineering in discussions with customers and regulatory bodies, ensuring that our technology is fit for purpose.

You will be instrumental in shaping the safety culture within the organization, promoting best practices and continuous improvement in safety processes. Your leadership will help cultivate an environment where safety is prioritized, and innovative solutions are encouraged. You will work closely with legal and regulatory teams to navigate compliance challenges and ensure that our autonomous vehicles meet all necessary safety standards.
