Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in Developer Productivity or related roles, demonstrating a strong ability to enhance engineering workflows and processes. Your background includes a BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent knowledge, equipping you with the technical foundation to excel in this role. You possess a strong background in Modern C++ (C++17 and beyond) and Python, allowing you to develop and maintain tools that optimize the development lifecycle effectively.

You are proficient with CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and debugging tools, which are essential for reducing developer toil and improving overall efficiency. Your experience with automation, services, and bots showcases your ability to streamline processes and enhance the developer experience. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineering teams to identify pain points and drive initiatives that empower them to deliver on organizational goals.

Desirable

Experience with Bazel and other build tools is a plus, as it will enable you to contribute to the development and maintenance of toolchains and hermetic build environments. You are comfortable working with teams across different geographical locations, including Singapore and the US, to understand their needs and improve their development workflows.

What you'll do

In this role, you will develop and maintain tools and systems that optimize the development lifecycle, focusing on CI/CD pipelines and build systems. You will collaborate closely with the Engineering Enablement team to ensure that team-owned platforms, tools, and processes meet the demands of engineering teams across Motional. Your responsibilities will include developing automation, services, and bots to reduce developer toil, ultimately enhancing the overall developer experience.

You will work with engineering teams around the world to understand their needs and identify pain points, driving initiatives that improve their development workflows. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of engineering teams, enabling them to work more effectively and deliver on Motional's mission.
