You have a strong background in software engineering, with experience in designing and building platform systems that support various teams. You understand the importance of reliability and scalability in production systems and have a collaborative mindset that allows you to work effectively with product and engineering teams. You are comfortable with automation and have a keen interest in improving system observability and security. You thrive in environments where you can contribute to the overall architecture and design of shared tools and workflows.
You are proactive in addressing performance and scalability needs, and you have experience participating in on-call rotations and responding to incidents. Your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams ensures that you can address the diverse needs of different stakeholders. You are committed to delivering high-quality solutions that enhance the user experience and support the growth of the business.
What you'll do
In this role, you will design, build, and support shared platform systems and tooling that help teams across SeatGeek develop and run services reliably. You will partner with engineering and product teams to address performance, scalability, and reliability needs as the marketplace and business grow. Your contributions will enhance system reliability, observability, security, and scalability through automation and well-considered abstractions. You will also participate in operating production systems, including supporting releases and responding to incidents and support requests with guidance and collaboration from the team.
