Who you are

You have a strong background in engineering, with a BA, Masters, or PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related field. You are passionate about Level 5 autonomous driving and excited by intellectual challenges. You have experience mentoring and growing junior and experienced engineers and researchers, fostering a culture of inclusion, innovation, and excellence.

You are skilled in formulating problems, architecting solutions, and designing processes that drive project-level impact. You have a proven track record of connecting technology solutions to business impact, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can influence the direction of your team and organization.

Desirable

Experience with productionizing and deploying solutions onto autonomous vehicle fleets is a plus. Familiarity with state-of-the-art solutions and systems for autonomous vehicles will help you excel in this role.

What you'll do

As a Principal Engineer on the Behaviors team, you will define and influence the direction of the team and organization. You will advise leaders on technology problems and solutions, ensuring that the team is aligned with the mission of making self-driving vehicles a reality. Your role will involve prototyping, evaluating, implementing, and iterating on solutions that enhance the capabilities of autonomous vehicles.

You will pioneer research into cutting-edge technologies and methodologies, contributing to the development of systems that predict the future behavior of agents around robo-taxis. Your work will directly impact the safety and comfort of autonomous driving, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in this field.

You will also mentor junior engineers and researchers, helping them grow in their careers and reinforcing a culture of excellence within the team. Your leadership will be crucial in creating an environment where innovation thrives and where team members feel valued and included.
