You are proficient in Python and have experience with cloud services like AWS, ensuring that your solutions are both performant and reliable.

Your expertise extends to containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, which you use to deploy and manage applications in a cloud environment. You understand the importance of data lineage and discovery, and you are excited about building systems that enhance data accessibility and usability for engineering teams.

You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions. Your strong problem-solving skills enable you to tackle complex challenges in data processing and infrastructure design. You are committed to writing high-quality, maintainable code and are eager to contribute to code reviews and technical discussions.

Desirable

What you'll do

In this role, you will play a key part in designing and building the next generation of data infrastructure at Motional. You will be responsible for developing scalable backend services that support data discovery and lineage systems, ensuring that they meet the needs of our rapidly growing fleet and sophisticated ML engineering requirements. Your work will involve writing high-quality code to process petabytes of data, focusing on performance, fault tolerance, and user-friendliness.

You will collaborate with machine learning and autonomy stakeholders to build out a new data discovery platform that enhances the accessibility of data across various metadata stores and data warehouses. Your contributions will help streamline data workflows and improve the overall efficiency of our engineering teams.

As part of your responsibilities, you will lead high-level system design discussions and participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality. You will also work on building a data lineage system that tracks the usage of all data at Motional, ensuring that it is widely adopted and addresses customer pain points.
