Who you are

You have 7+ years of experience designing, building, shipping, and maintaining products or platforms — you've successfully navigated the complexities of software development and understand the nuances of creating scalable solutions. Your educational background includes a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field, equipping you with a solid foundation in technical principles.

You possess experience building and integrating with API-based platforms, demonstrating a good understanding of REST and other RPC-based systems. Your expertise extends to building and maintaining microservices using languages such as Python, Golang, Java, or C++, allowing you to contribute effectively to various aspects of the platform.

You thrive in a collaborative environment, partnering with product management, user experience, customer success, machine learning, and other engineering teams to identify, define, and build elegant solutions. Your ability to influence the platform team roadmap and own the evolution of multiple platform areas showcases your leadership skills and vision.

You are committed to continuous improvement and regularly participate in peer code and engineering design reviews, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Your desire to work at a startup pace reflects your adaptability and eagerness to take on challenges in a fast-moving environment.

What you'll do

In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the evolution of Moveworks' conversational AI platform. You will build enterprise products that solve real-world problems by leveraging the machine learning platform, creating foundational frameworks and services that abstract away product needs while providing scalable and reliable building blocks. You will also be responsible for building the enterprise data platform to meet various product needs.

Your responsibilities will include designing and building highly reliable, performant, and secure platform building blocks. You will influence the platform team roadmap and collaborate with other engineering teams to provide cross-cutting solutions. Consistently delivering deadline-sensitive work that is interdependent with other engineering teams will be crucial to your success.

You will challenge the status quo and be responsible for the continuous improvement of the platform, ensuring that it meets the evolving needs of the business and its customers. Regular participation in peer code and engineering design reviews will be part of your routine, allowing you to contribute to the overall quality and effectiveness of the engineering team.
