Job Description
Who you are
You have extensive experience in product design, particularly in creating user-centric solutions that simplify complex systems. Your background includes a strong understanding of design principles and a passion for enhancing user experiences across various platforms. You excel in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product management, to ensure that design solutions align with technical feasibility and business goals. Your ability to think like a systems designer allows you to create frameworks that can be reused across multiple product teams, fostering consistency and efficiency in design.
You are proficient in design tools such as Figma, enabling you to create high-fidelity prototypes and design specifications that communicate your vision effectively. Your experience includes designing for integration platforms, where you have tackled challenges related to APIs, permissions, and data flow. You understand the importance of usability, correctness, and reliability in design, and you strive to create solutions that are not only visually appealing but also functional and trustworthy.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own the end-to-end design process for Mural's Integrated Workflows Platform, from initial concept through to production and ongoing evolution. You will collaborate closely with the IAM team to design user experiences that abstract complex technical details into clear and intuitive user journeys. Your work will involve defining design patterns that can be utilized by multiple product teams, ensuring a cohesive user experience across the platform.
You will engage in user research to gather insights that inform your design decisions, and you will iterate on your designs based on user feedback and testing. Your responsibilities will also include creating design documentation that outlines the rationale behind your design choices, as well as providing guidance to developers during the implementation phase to ensure that the final product aligns with your vision.
You will play a key role in shaping how millions of users interact with Mural's products, making your contributions vital to the company's mission of enhancing collaboration and creativity. You will be part of a dynamic team that values innovation and encourages experimentation, allowing you to push the boundaries of design in the collaborative software space.
