Who you are

You have extensive experience in product design, particularly in AI and machine learning applications — you've successfully led design initiatives for complex technical products and understand how to make cutting-edge technology accessible to users. Your portfolio showcases your ability to create intuitive and transformative user experiences that resonate with technical operations teams. You thrive in collaborative environments, partnering with product management, engineering, and data science teams to drive design vision and execution. You are passionate about user-centered design and have a strong understanding of the principles of UX design, ensuring that your designs are not only visually appealing but also functional and user-friendly. You are adept at using design tools like Figma to create high-fidelity prototypes and wireframes that effectively communicate your design ideas. You have a track record of mentoring junior designers and fostering a culture of design excellence within your team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will define and drive the design vision for PagerDuty's AI and Automation team — you'll lead the design strategy for AI agents, automation workflows, and intelligent insights across the PagerDuty Operations Cloud. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to align design initiatives with business goals and user needs. Your responsibilities will include conducting user research to gather insights that inform design decisions, creating user personas, and developing user journey maps to enhance the overall user experience. You will also be responsible for presenting your design concepts to stakeholders and incorporating feedback to refine your designs. As a Principal Product Designer, you will ensure that the AI capabilities are intuitive, trustworthy, and transformative for users, ultimately shaping how organizations leverage autonomous agents and intelligent automation to improve operational resilience. You will stay updated on industry trends and best practices in AI/ML product design, continuously seeking opportunities to innovate and enhance the user experience.
