Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in automation engineering, particularly in building and scaling testing infrastructures. Your background includes a strong understanding of end-to-end testing frameworks, and you are adept at using Cypress to validate complex workflows. You possess a problem-solving mindset and are passionate about tackling technically demanding challenges, especially those related to AI model validation or autonomous workflows. A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience is essential. Domain knowledge in AI/ML testing or the travel industry is a strong plus.

Desirable

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into deployment processes is highly desirable. Familiarity with performance and API testing, as well as a solid understanding of microservices architecture, will set you apart. You are a collaborative team player who thrives in a global environment and is eager to contribute to engineering culture by championing best practices in automation and testing.

What you'll do

In this role, you will architect the Cypress E2E Framework, designing and building a robust, high-performance automation framework to validate Navan's core web application workflows. You will develop sophisticated test harnesses within Cypress that interact with the application, performing data validation and ensuring that the UI accurately reflects the autonomous decisions made by AI agents. You will take ownership of the testing lifecycle, integrating fast-running, automated Cypress tests directly into CI/CD pipelines, enabling the engineering team to deploy multiple times daily with zero functional regressions. Additionally, you will utilize Cypress's capabilities for API-level testing to validate backend microservices, augmenting UI tests where necessary to maintain speed and reliability.
