Nebius AI is seeking a Regulatory Counsel to support their trade controls program across US and EMEA operations. You'll provide strategic advice on global trade controls and work cross-functionally with various teams. This role requires expertise in regulatory challenges related to AI and cloud infrastructure.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in regulatory compliance, particularly in trade controls, export controls, and sanctions. Your experience includes advising on complex regulatory matters and navigating the evolving landscape of AI and cloud infrastructure regulations. You are comfortable working cross-functionally with product, engineering, sales, and operations teams, and you thrive in a remote-first environment that values collaboration across time zones and cultures.

You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to coordinate effectively with outside counsel and internal stakeholders. Your strategic mindset allows you to shape the approach to regulatory challenges, ensuring that the company remains compliant while fostering innovation in AI and cloud services. You are proactive in identifying emerging regulatory issues and are adept at providing actionable insights to mitigate risks.

Desirable

Experience in the AI or cloud computing sectors is a plus, as is familiarity with the regulatory landscape in both the US and EMEA regions. A background in legal counsel roles within technology companies will enhance your ability to contribute effectively to the Ethics and Compliance team at Nebius.

What you'll do
