You have 4-5 years of experience in functional testing, demonstrating a solid understanding of software development life cycles including Waterfall, Agile, and RUP methodologies. Your ability to analyze and comprehend input documents such as use cases and functional specifications allows you to identify and document functional gaps effectively. You are skilled in building traceability matrices and utilizing advanced techniques for identifying test scenarios, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.

Your expertise extends to designing and constructing test cases, executing them within established cycles, and reporting defects with clear documentation. You are proactive in following up on defects until their resolution, and you are adept at generating project testing metrics that inform stakeholders of progress and quality. Your experience as a Defect Manager showcases your leadership in managing testing cells of up to five resources, fostering a collaborative environment.

You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to convey complex information clearly and effectively. Your organizational skills and results-oriented mindset help you adapt to changes swiftly, ensuring that testing processes remain aligned with project goals.

What you'll do

In this role, you will adapt to the work processes according to the software development life cycle utilized in the project. You will analyze and understand input documents, identifying and documenting functional gaps in the documentation. Your responsibilities will include building traceability matrices, utilizing advanced techniques for identifying test scenarios, and designing and constructing test cases.

You will execute test cases within the established cycles and report defects with clear documentation, following up until their closure. Additionally, you will send progress reports of the testers under your charge and generate testing metrics for the project. You will also propose improvements to the functional testing processes, ensuring that the testing approach is continuously refined and optimized.
