Who you are

You have practical experience as a Systems Analyst in large-scale environments using IBM AS400, Cobol, and RPG. Your solid knowledge of IBM AS400 and Cobol, along with development and maintenance processes, is essential for success in this role. You are experienced with databases like DB2 and have a strong command of ETL processes for handling large datasets. Your familiarity with application integration, particularly with point-of-sale systems and hardware/software management, is crucial. You possess a solid understanding of various data formats such as CSV and XML, and you have skills in coding and designing relational databases. Additionally, you have experience with mainframe programming languages like CLP and RPG, which is a plus. You are knowledgeable in implementing agile methodologies and documenting processes and systems, and you may hold relevant certifications in IBM technologies or continuous professional development programs. Your background includes mainframe knowledge and financial transaction processing, along with project management and technical team leadership experience.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend systems using IBM Cobol and AS400. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of applications and systems. Your duties will include creating and maintaining ETL programs for large datasets, as well as managing database operations with DB2. You will also be involved in the integration of applications with point-of-sale systems, ensuring that all hardware and software components work together effectively.
