Job Description
Who you are
You have over 4 years of experience in networking product testing, with a strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including power systems and cooling. Your familiarity with L2/L3 switch testing and protocols such as TCP/IP, NAT, and Firewall makes you a valuable asset to any team. You are capable of working independently and have proven experience in data center testing or a similar role.
You possess strong knowledge of various networking protocols, including IGMPv2/v3, NTP, DNS, FTP, HTTPS, 802.1x, QoS, and SNMP testing. Your ability to collaborate with engineering teams to identify and resolve system issues is essential, as is your experience in generating testing reports and following up on bug resolutions. You are also comfortable training other team members and sharing your job-related knowledge.
What you'll do
In this role, you will create suitable and new test cases to verify layer2/layer3 switch functionality, performance, and security. You will develop and execute test plans for data center infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and storage systems. Your responsibilities will include performing system-level testing to validate hardware and software integration, as well as collaborating with engineering teams to identify and resolve system issues.
You will help recreate field issues and work closely with RD, Support, ODM, or chipset vendors to determine the root cause. Additionally, you will review and modify manual test cases based on different requirements from customers or product engineers. Generating testing reports on each firmware and following up for bug resolution will be part of your daily tasks. You will also facilitate automation engineers in automating test cases and assist them in debugging issues found by automation scripts.
What we offer
At NETGEAR, you will be part of a forward-thinking team that is passionate about technology and connectivity. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement. Join us and help shape the future of connectivity while enjoying a rewarding career.
