Who you are

You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in networking product testing and automation, demonstrating a solid understanding of layer2/layer3 functionality and device performance. Your background includes testing protocols such as TCP/IP, NAT & Firewall, and you are familiar with networking devices like ethernet switches and routers. You possess strong programming skills in Java and Python, which you have applied in developing automation scripts. Your experience with automation frameworks like Selenium or Robot showcases your ability to enhance testing efficiency.

You are detail-oriented and proactive in reporting issues during testing, ensuring that all functionalities are verified thoroughly. Your familiarity with traffic generators such as Ixia and Spirent adds to your capability in conducting comprehensive tests. You are eager to learn and understand the functions and features of the products you test, which helps you contribute effectively to the team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will execute automation testing scripts to verify the functionality and performance of networking products. You will develop new automation test cases based on the test plan and perform functional testing to ensure product quality. Setting up and maintaining automation test beds will be part of your responsibilities, allowing you to create a robust testing environment. You will report any issues encountered during the execution of automation scripts or manual test cases, collaborating closely with your team to resolve them.

Your role will also involve modifying existing automation test scripts to adapt to new product features and requirements. You will work under the guidance of the Senior Manager Engineering, contributing to the overall success of the engineering team. Your insights and feedback will be valuable in improving testing processes and methodologies, ensuring that NETGEAR's products meet high standards of quality and performance.
